We welcome relevant news from manufacturers, engineering businesses, technology developers and public relations agencies. This policy explains how material submitted through our Submit News form is handled.
What we cover
Our reporting focuses on artificial intelligence in machine tools and manufacturing, including CNC and machining, sheet metal, welding, robotics and cobots, metrology and machine vision, industrial software and manufacturing events. We review submissions for relevance, factual substance and editorial value.
Accuracy, permissions and responsibility
By submitting material, you confirm that information provided is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that you are authorised to submit it, and that you own the necessary rights to any supplied text, photographs, graphics or files, or have permission from the rights holders for us to use them. Please identify any third-party ownership or restrictions clearly.
You are responsible for ensuring that submitted material does not unlawfully infringe third-party rights or contain defamatory, confidential, misleading or otherwise unlawful content. Do not submit unnecessary personal or confidential information. Where you provide a colleague’s or client’s contact details, ensure you have an appropriate basis to share them with us for editorial contact and review.
Editorial review and publication
Submitting news does not guarantee publication. We reserve the right to select, verify, edit, shorten, rewrite, fact-check, add context to, or decline any submission in accordance with our editorial standards. Publication dates, article titles, links and placement are determined by our editorial team.
You retain ownership of your original material. By submitting it, you confirm that you have authority to grant us permission to publish, reproduce, edit and display the material in our editorial coverage, including associated website, newsletter and social-media promotion of that coverage. If there are specific permissions or embargoes, please state them clearly when submitting.
Images and supporting files
The submission form requires a featured JPG or PNG image measuring exactly 1600 × 900 pixels and no larger than 5 MB. Optional supporting PDF or ZIP files must not exceed 10 MB. We may crop or resize supplied images when preparing editorial content, subject to the permissions described above.
Editorial independence and commercial content
News submissions are considered on editorial merit. Submitting content does not create an advertising agreement or guarantee a featured article, backlink, interview, publication date or other coverage. Sponsored or paid collaborations are handled separately and identified where appropriate.
How we use submitted personal information
We use submitter and relevant client contact details to review the story, verify facts, request clarification, administer submissions and maintain editorial records, as described in our Privacy Policy. Submitting a story does not automatically subscribe you to our newsletter or authorise unrelated marketing messages.
