For machine shops looking for AI that can be applied to CNC programming today, CloudNC should be near the top of the IMTS list.
CloudNC will demonstrate CAM Assist live throughout the show, showing how the platform can analyse a component and generate machining strategies and toolpaths inside established CAM environments.
The key point is that CAM Assist does not require manufacturers to abandon the software they already use.
It operates across platforms including Autodesk Fusion, Mastercam, Siemens NX, GibbsCAM and SolidCAM, bringing AI-assisted CNC programming directly into existing workflows.
CloudNC says CAM Assist can complete up to 80% of a CAM programme in minutes, while the programmer remains responsible for reviewing and refining the final strategy.
The latest Strategy Editor gives programmers greater visibility over tools, machining strategies, feeds and speeds rather than treating the AI-generated result as a black box.
CloudNC is also extending its manufacturing intelligence further upstream into AI-assisted quoting, where the same understanding of machining requirements could help shops evaluate incoming RFQs and estimate how a component should be produced.

Its CAM Agent is designed to understand the manufacturing context around a component rather than operate as a conventional software chatbot.
The system can work with CAD geometry, tolerances, available machines, tooling and machining physics before generating native CAM operations that remain editable by the programmer.
At IMTS, Limitless will demonstrate the technology using production-representative components, including machining strategy generation, tool selection and cutting conditions calibrated to the material and machine.
The company is already working with Siemens NX, while Mastercam deployments are progressing through pilots.
Its partnership with Cimatron has also produced the new Cimatron CAM Agent debuting at the show.
That means visitors can see Limitless both as an independent AI manufacturing company and through the commercial CAM platforms beginning to integrate its technology.

The key story at IMTS 2026 is not how many companies are using the term AI.
It is where the technology is appearing.
AI is entering CAM programming, CNC controls, machine tools, inspection systems, robotics, maintenance, quality, ERP and production management.
That means visitors should ask a much more useful question than, “Does this product use AI?”
Ask instead:
What manufacturing problem does it solve?
What decision is the AI making?
Can an experienced person review or override it?
Does it work with the systems already installed?
And what measurable improvement should it deliver?
Those questions will separate genuinely useful industrial AI from impressive demonstrations that become difficult to implement once the show ends.
